And, she did it again on a special afternoon at Alexis Bistro in Kuala Lumpur recently when she wowed her audience with a mini showcase featuring songs taken from her latest mini album I’m Alright. Her last album was Alam Maya which was released in 2007. Magical: ‘The most interesting part (of recording I’m Alright) was recording Petite Cherie, which literally means ‘little darling’,’ says Noryn Aziz. I’m Alright, Noryn’s collaboration with French fragrance brand Annick Goutal for the launch of its latest scent, Petite Cherie, comprises six songs: new singles I’m Alright and Kesungguhan Cinta, two covers of her favourite songs – 1964’s Feeling Good and The Way You Look Tonight – as well as Petite Cherie (Little Darling) and Malam Bulan Di Pagar Bintang. The mini album was released late last month. The highlights are the special tribute cover of the late Tan Sri P. Ramlee’s Malam Bulan Di Pagar Bintang and French track, Petite Cherie, which was re-written by Julien Pierre Bigot using Malam Bulan Di Pagar Bintang’s melody and composition. I’m Alright was arranged, mixed and produced by musicians that Noryn has been working with for the past 10 years. The collaboration with Annick Goutal’s Petite Cherie will see the first 300 fans who buy the CD getting a 30-page Noryn profile book and a gift from Annick Goutal. This limited edition pack is only available at eight Rock Corner outlets in the Klang Valley. |
